ONW Special Report: Dayton Robbers Give Their Victim Bus Fare

According to a Dayton Police Incident Report, a man was waiting at a bus stop near the intersection of North Main Street and West Hudson Avenue in the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 28th, when he was approached by two men. One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and stuck it in the victim’s face, demanding “give me everything out of your pocket.”  After relieving the victim of $40 in cash and a cell phone, the two suspects started to make their escape on foot. It was at this point that one of the suspects yelled back to the victim and asked if he had bus fare. When the victim said “no”, one of the suspects ran back and handed him $2.00 before fleeing the scene.

As of this writing, the suspects were still at large.

So I guess if nothing else, this confirms that there’s a code of conduct among Dayton area thugs which states that if you’re going to rob someone while they are waiting for a bus, you have to make sure they still have bus fare.
