I’m proud to announce that I have been asked to be part of the 2018 Preble County Author Con, to be held at the Eaton Library (301 N. Barron Street, Eaton, OH 45320). The event will be from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on Saturday, Mat 26th.

I will be joining nine other Ohio authors for a day filled with panel discussions, children’s crafts, and, best of all, free popcorn! I’ll be bringing along a trunk-full of books for purchase and I will be more than happy to scribble my name in them…or anything else you put in front of me!

Information On Ohio’s Historic Haunts Pre-Release Book Signing

While the official release date for Ohio’s Historic Haunts is September 30th, the publisher, Kent State University Press, has decided to release some copies ahead of time. The reason for this is a super-cool pre-release book signing on the campus of Kent State University!

So on Saturday, September 26th, you can swing by the Kent State University Book Store (located at 1085 Risman Drive [124 Student Ctr], Kent, Ohio) and grab yourself a first edition of Ohio’s Historic Haunts. I will be there between the hours of 2 and 4 pm and will be more than happy to sign your book (and anything else you want me to) for you. After that, you can proudly walk to your car carrying your autographed first edition, a full 4 days before the general public has a chance to get their hands on a copy!

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the campus book store’s website here.

Hope to see you all there!

If you can’t make it on the 26th, I will have copies available for purchase at all of my upcoming presentations and appearances. You can always grab a copy off Amazon, too!

Ghosts In Oxford, Ohio? Yes, Please!

Have I told you lately how much I love my inquisitive fans?

Not sure when the article hit online, but this morning’s edition of the Oxford Press carried an interview I did with them about my upcoming appearance in Oxford on Sunday, October 29th. The article was entitled “Ghosts In Oxford? Author To Share Spooky Stories Sunday.” However, as many of you are pointing out via your e-mails to me, the article does not mention a single ghost story associated with Oxford, leaving you all wondering if I will be talking about Oxford ghosts or not.

The short answer is “yes”, I will most certainly be talking about some of the more popular Oxford-area ghost stories and legends. Not to give everything away, but some of the stories will include:

  • Reid Hall–I was given permission to conduct an overnight investigation inside the building prior to it being torn down
  • Ronald Tammen disappearance–does his ghost still remain where his dorm room once stood?
  • The Oxford Rider–my personal encounters with the mysterious “ghost light”

Oh yeah, and if you’re looking for more than just ghosts, there will be plenty of giant roadside oddities, mummified cats, and pickled fingers to go around. And if you’re really nice to me, you might get to see the infamous Blue Flash video. No promises, though!

If you’re interested in coming to this event, click here to reserve your tickets. If there are any left, they will be available for purchase at the door the day of the event. But I wouldn’t chance it if I were you as there’s only a couple of seats left!

Rumor has it there will also be copies of Weird Ohio on-hand for me to sign, too. BTW, if you haven’t been to one of my signings before, I’ll sign anything you hand me…within reason, of course.

And here’s the best part: you can come in costume! Did someone say “Photo Op”?
