Release Date for Northern Ohio Legends & Lore

On September 30, 2025, my trilogy becomes complete with the release of Northern Ohio Legends & Lore.

Those of you who know me understand I’m really not that pompus to go around claiming that I am an author who writes trilogies. Rather, it was a subtle poke at the literary world to not take themselves so seriously (I tried wearing a monocle to my presentations, but that didn’t work). But there is some background to it.

Way back when, I was approached by History Press, who wanted to know if I would be interested in writing a single book about Ohio legends and lore. I said something along the lines of “there’s no way that could fit into one book”, to which they replied “well, could you make it fit in 3 books?” With that, the Legends & Lore series was born. First up was 2017’s Central Ohio Legends & Lore, which was followed by Southern Ohio Legends & Lore in 2022. Now, in just a few short months, the trilogy completes with Northern Ohio Legends & Lore.

Mirroring the other books, Northern Ohio Legends & Lore will contain a collection of ghosts, monsters, killers, UFOs, and just plain weird stuff, all centered around Northern Ohio. As the September release date gets closer, I’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes stories and photos, but just to let you know, some of the things you’ll encounter in Northern Ohio Legends & Lore include the Charles Mill Lake Monster, Jeffrey Dahmer, the Bloody Bridge, the Elmore Rider, the Giants of Seville, a multi-day excavation conducted to find victims of a satanic cult. Oh yeah, and hundreds of people calling a Toledo home, looking for Michael Jackson after being convinced they had found his home phone number hidden in the Thriller album.

Northern Ohio Legends & Lore is already up for pre-order on Amazon here. It comes with a pre-order price guarantee. It is slowly being added to more online stores and sellers. It will also be available at most brick-and-mortar Ohio bookstores, as well as Ohio libraries.
