Well, we’re nearing the end of chronicling all the known Crybaby Bridges in Ohio–26 down and only 7 left (but don’t worry, Pitchin, you’re next). And it seems only fitting that after researching so many of them (in alphabetical order, of course) that we would finally hit on one that seems to have some originated from an actual tragedy: the Philo Crybaby Bridge .
Of course, that’s not to say that the tragedy that took place in Philo had anything to do with a baby (or the actual bridge, for that matter). That would be too easy. Still, I think we’ve managed to track down the non-baby, non-bridge event that planted the seeds of the Crybaby Bridge legend in Philo.
