As we continue our way through the alphabetical list of all known Crybaby Bridges in Ohio, the addition of Stover Road’s Crybaby Bridge means there are only two remaining bridges to be added to the Ohio Crybaby Bridge Project.
The Stover Road Crybaby Bridge represents one of the main reasons I decided to start this project: keeping these stories alive. You see, the stories associated with the Stover Road Crybaby Bridge are not current ones–they date back more than a decade. In fact, it took me a very long time to find anyone who had heard the story or even knew where the bridge was. So I knew I couldn’t let the stories surrounding Stover Road fade into the ghostly mist. And my stubbornness eventually paid off as I not only found the bridge, but also the reason why the stories are no longer being shared.
